MCGS1-P1N Series

The KBC MCGS1-P1N series is an industrial-grade 10/100/1000M POE Ethernet media converter with a 1000-base SFP port. It supports transmission of one channel 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet over the SFP port. The data can be transmitted via one or two multimode or singlemode optical fibers with full duplex operation by selecting different KBC SFP modules. This media converter supports both POE and POE+.

The MCGS1-P1N series PoE media converters are compatible with the non-POE MCGN1 series 10/100/1000M media converters. Typically, POE media converters are installed on the remote end where remote devices require POE input; however, on the head-end, the non-POE MCGN1 series media converters would be installed as POE is not needed from a media converter at the main network location. Alternatively, a remote MCGS1-P1N series media converter with a fiber optic SFP module can be directly linked to a corresponding SFP in a network switch over fiber optic cabling.

The plug-and-play design ensures straightforward installation without needing electrical or optical adjustments. LED indicators clearly show the unit's operational status. The rugged enclosure and electrical protection design make it suitable for use in harsh environments. The series is available in wall, DIN, and 2U passive rack FR2-12- NNN-B. The chassis card version FR2-16 is not available.
